Just as he was about to leave for the day, his communicator beeped. "Franklin here," he said, his voice firm but weary.
"Doctor, it's Garibaldi. We've got a situation in one of the bars Down Below. Someone's been hurt pretty badly," the chief of security said, his voice laced with concern.
Franklin's instincts kicked in, and he quickly assessed the situation. "I'm on my way. What's the status of the victim?"
"Not good, Doc. Looks like a stabbing. We're bringing him in now," Garibaldi replied, his voice tight with tension.
Franklin nodded to himself as he grabbed his medical kit. "I'll meet you in MedLab."
As he rushed to MedLab, Franklin couldn't help but think about the violence that seemed to be escalating on the station. He pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the task at hand: saving the victim's life.
When he arrived at MedLab, the victim was already being prepped for surgery. Franklin's team worked swiftly and efficiently, but Franklin's gut told him that this was more than just a random act of violence.
After stabilizing the victim, Franklin took a moment to examine the wound more closely. The cut was precise, almost... calculated. Franklin's mind began to racing with possibilities.
Just then, his communicator beeped again. "Franklin here," he said.
"Doctor, it's Sinclair. I've got some concerns about a Doctor Frankenstein who's arrived on the station. I'd appreciate it if you could keep an eye out for him," Sinclair said, his voice low and serious.
Franklin's instincts kicked in again. "What kind of concerns, Commander?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.
"Let's just say I got a bad vibe from him. I'd like to know if he shows up in MedLab or if you hear anything... unusual," Sinclair replied.
Franklin nodded, even though Sinclair couldn't see him. "Will do, Commander. I'll keep an ear out."
As he ended the conversation, Franklin couldn't help but wonder what Sinclair knew that he didn't. And what did Frankenstein have to do with the stabbing victim?
The questions swirled in Franklin's mind like a vortex, pulling him deeper into the mystery. He knew one thing for sure: he'd be keeping a very close eye on Doctor Frankenstein.
