The Wrestling Diaries: Special Features Available to Stream & Buy!

Have you been listening to The Wrestling Diaries?

Well, there were three tracks that my AI assistant and I produced that didn't fit in with the overall flow of the concept album. So I put these to one side, until now.

The Wrestling Diaries: Special Features is now available to stream on the various streaming platforms. You can also buy it in physical form.

To steam the EP on Spotify, visit https://open.spotify.com/album/1nstKSGhw1zw0mtzSWn56u?si=68awWzw1QKCHKbIjYa1-rg
(Other streaming services are available)

To buy the EP on CD visit https://elasticstage.com/twosheds316

Who knows, if this goes well I may use AI to turn other old blogs into song. Who wants to hear a ballad documenting the rivalry between Ricky Knight and Jimmy Ocean? Or a rocker telling the story of the first encounter between Big Dave and The Kraft? Or a sad song in which I bid a tearful goodbye to Detroit?

If You Like The Blog, Why Not Stream (Or Buy) The Music?

Unless you've been living in a cave in recent times you'll know that I've been making a bit of music as of late, with a little bit of help from the Mozart and Suno AI music generator apps. However, I've been a bit remiss in not promoting them here on my blog, which is why I've spent the past few days creating a new page listing all of my releases, which you can access either on the menu section on the left of your screen, or by clicking or tapping here!

The new page contains direct links to the release's Spotify page, mainly because that's the service I use, but if you use another service, such as Amazon or Apple, I've also included links to my artist page on those streaming services as well, which you'll find at the top of the screen.

Some of the older releases, originally made on the Mozart app, will be deleted in the next few days, which is why they haven't been included on the list. I'm hoping to remix them on Suno sometime, whenever I get round to it that is.

Hopefully you'll find something to enjoy there.

What Are The Wrestling Diaries?

In 2001, disenchanted with the impending monopoly that Vince McMahon had on the American wrestling scene a chance reading of a two-page article in the Eastern Daily Press led to my renewed interest in the British wrestling product, and, more specifically, the Norwich-based World Association of Wrestling.

Over the next weeks and months I documented my interactions and communications with various parties involved in the company in my online blog, The Two Sheds Review, which at the time was just hitting it's stride, read by thousands of wrestling fans around the world. Yours truly would later enjoy a four-year stint in WAW, wearing many hats, including webmaster, writer, and occasional referee. Upon leaving at the end of 2005 both writer and wrestling company went on to other things, with The Two Sheds Review in particular going on to become Britain's longest-running wrestling and MMA blog, lasting sixteen years.

Buy My Book!

If you liked the blog, why not buy my book?

In the heart of London, a series of impossible crimes has left the Metropolitan Police reeling. Vaults are being decimated by unnatural, extreme temperature shifts—some frozen solid to absolute zero, others melted into slag in seconds. Inspector Paul Solo, a man who prides himself on meticulous procedure and cold, hard facts, finds himself utterly out of his depth as he encounters a reality that defies every law of physics he has ever known.

Caught between the growing panic of a city under siege and his superior’s stubborn refusal to accept the truth, Solo is forced to look beyond the mundane. When a mysterious, ancient figure named Doctor Phineas Magus appears, he reveals a terrifying reality: London is built upon a hidden nexus of ley lines, and a dark, unseen power is systematically draining them to fuel a ritual that could shatter the city.

As Solo is pulled into a world of magic, secret syndicates, and powerful puppet masters, he discovers that the elusive criminal known as "Celsius" is not the monster the police fear, but a pawn trapped in a deadly game of coercion. Now, a disgraced detective and a weary wizard must form an unlikely alliance to stop an ancient threat that hides in plain sight.

The battle for London has moved into the shadows. With the city’s heart at stake and the lines between good and evil blurring, Paul Solo must transform from a lawman of the streets into a guardian of the extraordinary. But in a world where nature itself can be weaponized, the price of magic is steep—and the next shift in the ley lines could be the city's last.

One Million Visitors!

Earlier today the number of visitors to my blog went past the one million mark.

I have no idea how long my blog has been around in it's current form, but this figure is a bit staggering for me. Okay, I don't get the numbers I used to back in the day when my wrestling column was syndicated to over twenty sites and newsletters, and it's nothing compared to other blogs on the internet, but the fact that there's still people out there who read and watch whatever I put up there means a lot to me, especially as I left the wrestling and MMA worlds behind many years ago.

So to those who still support me after having been online for nearly twenty-six years, a big thank you to each and every one of you.

Here's to the next one million website hits.

A Stage Musical About Wrestling? How About a Concept Album Instead?

So, a stage musical based on professional wrestling you say?

Well, I can't do that, but how about a concept album based on a series of blogs, a story about a writer deep diving into his local wrestling scene back in 2001?

How about fifteen tracks, plus two bonus tracks, lovingly curated with a bit of AI help?

How does that sound to you? Interesting? Watch this space.

Julian's Birthday Fundraiser for the RNLI

For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to RNLI. I've chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me. Every little bit will help me reach my goal. I've included information about RNLI below.

The RNLI is a registered charity that saves lives at sea. It provides, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service to 100 miles out from the coast of the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland and a beach lifeguard service on over 200 beaches in England. The RNLI continues to rely on voluntary contributions and legacies for its income.

You can donate to my fundraiser at https://www.facebook.com/share/17kkaqHDmJ/

Twenty Years Ago This Month: My Last Live Wrestling Show Review

Twenty years ago this month I attended my last live wrestling event, the World Association of Wrestling's October Outrage VII, held at The Talk in Norwich. Held during a time of great emotional upheaval for many, it was one of the events that led to me deciding to leave the company just a few weeks later.

This particular review was written after my departure, and with a great deal of hindsight.

You can read my review at https://twoshedsreview.blogspot.com/2019/03/re-post-waw-october-outrage-vii-live.html

You can read all of my other WAW-related articles and reviews at https://twoshedsreview.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html

I've Released a Single!

It's his fault I'm doing this!
As you know I've been playing around with various AI services of late, mainly to help me with my writing. I've also been playing around with some song-generating AIs as well, putting some old lyrics to new songs, as well as a few one-line jokes and historical speeches.

I shared a couple of these on social media, then came across a website called Route Note that distributed music to services such as Spotify. So inspired by fellow content creator "The Professor" Nick Harrison I decided to take the plunge and see if I could get one of this songs uploaded to Spotify.

If You Want to Comment You'll Need to Register!

Sadly, due to unknown people (although I actually know exactly who they are) I've had to change some of the settings for the comments section of this blog. This is because these people (I know who they are) have left some rather unsavoury comments.

So from now if you want to comment on this blog you'll have to have a Google account, or you'll have to register for one. This means that you will no longer be able to post as "unknown". All comments will continue to be moderated before they are posted.

The daft thing is I wouldn't mind it so much if they used proper spelling and grammar!

I'm Back On Mixcloud!

After an absence of five years yours truly has reactivated his Mixcloud account! (Pauses for expected cheers). This is something I've been considering for a while now, given the amount of content I've been putting out on TikTok and Youtube this year.

Do You Remember My Old Podcast?

Do any of you remember my old podcast? You know, the one I recorded back in 2020 during the lockdown when we all had a lot more time on our hands?

Well, judging from the site statistics some of you have been delving into my past looking for some of these old episodes, and until recently only a few of them had been uploaded to Youtube. But that's all changed because now you can see/listen to all of them again!

Yep, that's right. Yours truly has been busy sorting out the rest of the old episodes and uploading them to Youtube, and you can see/listen to each and every one of them again by visiting The Two Sheds Review Podcast page by clicking here.

Alternatively you can go directly to my Youtube channel, where you can see all of my other videos as well, by clicking here

So why am I hyping content from 2020? Watch this space.

The Madness Returns: The Final Anglo-Force Story

In case you haven't noticed I've added a few new chapters to the blog over the past week or so.

"The Madness Returns" is the 21st and final story from the last incarnations of Anglo-Force, written before I gave my full intention to my vast and never actually finished Civil War project.

I normally dated my stories so I knew when I finished them, but I forgot to do that this time around, which is why all the posts have recent dates on them.

Anyway, back to the matter at hand. "The Madness Returns" sees the return of Woodwose. Now completely driven by rage, the man-beast has only one thing on his mind, revenge, revenge on those who imprisoned him and those who defeated him before.

You can now read the story by clicking on the links below:

Chapter One

Chapter Two

Chapter Three

Chapter Four

Chapter Five
