A Lion's Tale by Chris Jericho - Book Review

A few weeks ago I wrote about a trip to my local Poundland shop, where I managed to get a copy of Mick Foley’s “Hardcore Diaries” for the paltry sum of…well….a pound. That very same day I also purchased a copy of a biography I’d heard a great deal about, “A Lion’s Tale” by Chris Jericho.

FWA New Frontiers - DVD Review

In it’s first incarnation it was responsible for some of the biggest British wrestling shows of the 21st century. It was home to the likes of Doug Williams, Paul Burchill, Hade Vansen and Katie Lea/Winter. Stars such as Steve Corino, Colt Cabana, A.J. Styles, Jerry Lynn, Christopher Daniels and C.M. Punk made flying visits.

The Premier League Star and the Super Injunction

About a year or so ago I heard a new phrase for the first time: “super injunction”. This phrase came into the public’s knowledge when celebrities with money to burn wanted to stop the press reporting on their private lives. It didn’t matter if they’d been extra-marital affairs with others, because they had the cash to pay a lawyer to get it covered up by a high court judge.

Almighty Thor - Film Review

The chances are that if you’re a movie fan then you’ve probably heard of The Asylum. No, I’m not talking about the old barn where TNA held many of their early shows. I’m talking about the film studio.

Remembering the Macho Man

It was in 1987 when I saw a World Wrestling Federation show for the first time. Back then ITV were looking to supplement their usual diet of British wrestling with it’s more glamorous American cousin. I don’t remember much about the show, except that the main event saw Hulk Hogan defending the WWF title against “Macho Man” Randy Savage.

WEC 36: Faber vs Brown on Extreme Sports - TV Review

It was delayed by a hurricane for two months, and further tarnished when a defending champion failed to make weight. It’s also be shown numerous times on Britain’s Extreme Sports channel since it’s debut last February. The show in question is WEC 36: Faber versus Brown, and it’s the first WEC show I’ve ever reviewed.
