Civil War Multiverse: The Creature of Babylon 5 Chapter Four: The Escape

The creature's eyes seemed to bore into Frankenstein's soul, and for a moment, he felt a shiver run down his spine. But then, his confidence returned, and he reached out a hand to touch the creature's arm.

"You're alive," Frankenstein repeated, his voice filled with wonder. "You're the first of your kind."

The creature looked at Frankenstein's hand, then back at his face. For a moment, it seemed to be studying him, trying to understand.

Frankenstein's assistant took a step forward, his eyes wide with fear. "Doctor, we need to be careful. We don't know what it's capable of."

Frankenstein waved his hand dismissively. "Don't worry, my friend. I've taken every precaution. It's perfectly safe."

But as he looked into the creature's eyes, he saw something that made his heart skip a beat. A spark of intelligence, of awareness. And something else... something primal, something feral.

The creature suddenly lurched forward, its movements swift and powerful. Frankenstein's assistant stumbled backward, tripping over his own feet.

"What's happening?" Frankenstein cried out, his voice filled with alarm.

The creature stood up, its massive frame towering over Frankenstein and his assistant. It looked around the laboratory, taking in its surroundings.

And then, with a swift and deadly movement, it reached out and grabbed Frankenstein's assistant.

Frankenstein watched in horror as the creature's grip tightened around his assistant's throat. The assistant's eyes bulged, and he struggled to breathe.

"No!" Frankenstein shouted, but it was too late.

The creature's grip tightened further, and the assistant's body went limp. The creature dropped the body to the floor, and Frankenstein felt a wave of revulsion wash over him.

What had he created?

The creature turned to Frankenstein, its eyes gleaming with a feral intensity. Frankenstein took a step back, his heart racing with fear. He knew he had to get out of there, and fast.

Frankenstein turned and ran, the creature's roar echoing through the laboratory as it gave chase. Frankenstein didn't dare look back, fearing what he might see.

He ran through the corridors, the creature's footsteps pounding behind him. He knew he had to find a way to stop it, to contain it.

But as he ran, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was no longer in control.

The creature was in control now. And it would stop at nothing to survive.
