Affliction: Day of Reckoning on Bravo - TV Review

It’s debut time again here in The Two Sheds Review, as we take a look back at Affliction’s latest pay-per-view offering, Day of Reckoning, headline by Andrei Arlovski challenging Fedor Emelianenko for the WAMMA Heavyweight title, in a broadcast that was shown on a twenty-four hour delay on Bravo here in Britain. UFC 93: Franklin v Henderson on Setanta Sports - TV Review

It’s the fight that we’ve been wanting for ages, as former middleweight king Rich Franklin finally meets former Pride two weight king Dan Henderson. There’s also the return of a hall of famer as the Ultimate Fighting Championship makes its Irish debut with UFC 93: Franklin v Stephenson, shown live this past Saturday night on Setanta Sports here in Britain. The usual suspects are handling commentary duties for this one, Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan.

TNA Genesis on Bravo 2 - TV Review

It’s the first wrestling pay-per-view of the year, as the good and the great of Total Non-Stop Action gather for a triple main event, with the Main Event Mafia looking to tighten their stranglehold on the company in TNA Genesis, shown on a three day delay here in Britain on Bravo 2. K-1 World Grand Prix Final on Eurosport - TV Review

My first review of 2009 sees us taking another trip to the world of K-1, as I take a look at British Eurosport’s end of year coverage of the K-1 Grand Prix final from Yokohama, Japan, with a new generation of fighters coming through to battle the old guard, and a very controversial end to the final. Will Vanders is, as always, there to provide commentary, and sadly, I’m having to start this review with some more criticism of Eurosport’s K-1 coverage.
