FWA NOAH Limits 2 - DVD Review

With Japanese wrestling company Pro Wrestling NOAH visiting merry old England in June, I thought it would be a good idea to take a look at a previous visit to these shores by NOAH stars. In July 2006, Muhhamad Yone and Takeshi Morishima took a trip to the now-defunct Frontier Wrestling Alliance for their NOAH Limits 2 show in Colchester, joining British stars such as Darren Burridge, Doug Williams and Hade Vansen. But that wasn’t all! Not only was former WWE and WCW star Billy Kidman on the show, but so was former WWF Champion Bret “The Hitman” Hart, paying a flying visit to Britain. Our host for the evening is Dann Read, although I’m pretty sure he’s also the ring announcer!

VPW Culture Shock - Retro Review

This edition of The Two Sheds Review sees us taking a trip back in time to August 2003, in Helsinki, Finland, for the Valhalla Pro Wrestling show Culture Shock. This was one of those shows I managed to get my hands on quite a while ago, at a time when it seemed that every wrestling fan had brought DVD recorders and were transferring their collections onto DVD before selling the tapes afterwards. I managed to get quite a few tapes around that time, transferring them to DVD myself. Except I didn’t sell them on, I just gave them to my brother.

This will actually be a review of the programme that was broadcast on Finnish television, and features A.J. Styles defending the NWA World title against Kid Kash.

UFC 80: Rapid Fire on Setanta Sports - TV Review

During the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s last visit to Britain, yours truly didn’t see the show when it was broadcast live, mainly because I don’t subscribe to Setanta Sports. Then, the guy who was taping it for me came down with flu, which meant that I had to wait a few more weeks before I got my copy. But as the old saying goes, better late than never with the review of UFC 80: Rapid Fire, held at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, and shown live in Britain on Setanta Sports. As usual, our hosts for the evening are Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan.

WWE No Way Out on Sky Sports - TV Review

It’s two for the price of one time with WWE’s latest pay-per-view offering, as stars from Raw and Smackdown battle it out in two Elimination Chamber matches, with main event spots up for grabs, and two title matches at No Way Out, shown live from Las Vegas here in Britain on Sky Sports 1.

TNA Against All Odds on Bravo 2 - TV Review

It’s that time of the month again where I break out this old tag line so I can introduce my latest pay-per-view review, with Kurt Angle and Christian Cage once again doing battle over the World title, but this time with Samoa Joe as a special enforcer. It’s time to take a look at TNA’s latest offering, Against All Odds, emanating from Greenville, South Carolina, and shown on a three day delay here in Britain on Bravo 2.
