Supremus seemed to be revelling as his newfound power surged through his body. Tremors could be felt all over the worlds as energy came flowing through the pipe. From afar on the beach Watt began to slowly regain his senses. He slowly got to his knees, but could only watch as power got through to Supremus and he began to get taller and taller. As he grew he let out a huge cry as if he were celebrating some sort of victory.

The Rise of Supremus - Chapter Nine
The Anglo-Force sky-jet was flying high above the Atlantic Ocean, and even though they were flying at a great height they were still being hit by waves from the ocean. Reid watched as his instruments were going crazy.
“The seismic disturbances are going way off the scale.” he said. “And they are being felt for miles around.”
“Where’s the epicentre?” asked White Knight.
“From exactly the same spot Supremus is.” said Reid. “And there are two undersea volcanoes in that location. They’ve been dormant for years, but now they’ve suddenly become active again!”
“That’s not all.” said Star Man. “The engines are seriously overheating. It I were a betting man I’d lay even money on them giving out any second…”
“The engine noise suddenly died down.
“…now!”
The sky-jet glided for a few seconds. There was still power getting through to the scanners.
“How far are we away from the ship?” asked White Knight.
“Ten miles.” said Reid.
“Supercop, Star Man, you know what to do.” said White Knight.
Star Man reached forward and popped the cockpit canopy. The sky-jet then began to fall faster and faster. Supercop grabbed Reid and Star Man grabbed White Knight as Red Sun flew off. A few seconds later the sky-jet crashed into the water.
“Head south.” said Reid.

The Rise of Supremus - Chapter Eight
It took them only a few minutes to reach Gruinard Island. This time they had no trouble finding a place to land. Reid was the first to disembark.
“My scanner detects power in the north.” he said. “Someone is...or was here.”
“Let’s head that way.” said White Knight.
Red Sun, Star Man and Supercop took to the air as White Knight and Reid followed on foot. Red Sun stopped in mid-flight as she saw something below on the ground. She called to White Knight. She landed as they rushed over. They saw a huge crater in the ground before them. Reid kneeled down at the edge.
“This crater was made by an incredible force.” he said. “As if something fell down from the sky at great velocity.”

The Rise of Supremus - Chapter Seven
Watt began to regain his senses very slowly. As he came to he could tell that his arms and legs were immobile. He was strapped down to something. He looked sideways at his arms and could see they were both strapped down by what appeared to be thick metal straps. He tried to move but found that he couldn’t. He continued to struggle for a number of minutes until he heard footsteps nearby. He looked up and the huge form of Supremus stood over him.
The Rise of Supremus - Chapter Six
Seven weeks passed. There had been no sign of Supremus, and no sign if anything. Anglo-Force had written this case off. They had closed their file on Supremus.
During the Second World War Gruinard Island, a few miles off the coast of Scotland, had been used to test chemical weapons. For many years the soil and rocks had been infected with the anthrax virus. It had only been declared safe by the Department of the Environment in the past few years. It was then brought by a wealthy businessman, who intended to set up home on the island but he found the island not to his liking and later left. He did not try to sell the island because he knew that no one would ever want to buy it. Instead his accountant wrote it off as a tax loss. It had been deserted till six weeks ago. The power had been turned back on, and from the mainland you could see some sort of activity in the main building. Two weeks after this orders began to reach the mainland for some scientific equipment. Of course the inhabitants of the small village, being mostly fishermen, had no idea what this equipment was for. They just sent the orders on, and the equipment was delivered to the village a short time later. The fishermen in turn took the equipment to the island in their fishing boats. Their instructions were to leave the equipment a few hundred yards away from the main building. They did not question these orders, mainly because they were paid a pretty sum for this simple task. It was on this day that another large package was being delivered by two of the local fishermen. They pulled their boat onto the small beach and slowly lifted the box out of the boat and onto the land. It was about ten minutes later when they reached their usual place. They put the box down and soon found a large envelope nailed to a wooden post in the ground. One of them pulled the envelope off and opened it. He then pulled out a large wad of notes.

The Rise of Supremus - Chapter Five
It was a day later, and Reid and Colossus sat in the monitor room, busily working the computer. A few minutes later Watt and White Knight entered.
“Anything?” asked Watt.
“I’ve got the computers working overtime.” Reid replied. “It’s linked to almost every satellite that is in orbit, and I can still find no trace of Supremus.”
“It may be possible for Supremus to disguise himself from sensor devices.” said Colossus.
“I doubt it.” said Watt. “Supremus was pretty beat up by the time you lot finished with him. He may be trying to find a way of restoring his power somehow.”
“Perhaps at a power station, or some other facility that uses a great amount of power.” said Reid. “I remember reading in the file that Supremus was not a real ‘human’, that he was a genetically engineered being. It would not be illogical to assume that he would survive by using some sort of power to gain his strength, and not food as we do.”

The Rise of Supremus - Chapter Four
White Knight stood in the middle of Tower Bridge, binoculars in hand. His winged horse, Galador, stood nearby. White Knight was looking at the area around him looking for some sign of Supremus. A few minutes later he saw Supercop in the sky. The American soon joined him on the bridge.
“I couldn’t find any sign of him.” he said.
“Same here.” said White Knight. “Wait! I see something.”
White Knight handed the binoculars to Supercop, who looked up towards the area of sky that was indicated to him. The figure in the sky seemed very distant. A few seconds passed before Supercop recognised him.
“That’s our boy alright.”
White Knight activated his communicator.
“White Knight to Captain. Supremus is here, near our location.”
“Do not engage him. Repeat, do not engage him.”
It was a mere three seconds later when Watt was hovering over Tower Bridge. The speed at which he arrived surprised the others.
“If Daniel is correct then Supremus will forget you two and go after me.” said Watt. “After all, I was one of those who first battled him.”
The shape in the sky got larger and larger as it neared the bridge. A minute passed before they could clearly see it was Supremus.
“Well, here goes.”

The Rise of Supremus - Chapter Three
Reid rushed into what was left of Supremus’ cell. He soon saw Muir lying on the floor near the control panel. He rushed over to him. Muir was just starting to come round.
“W-w-what happened?” he asked.
“Take it easy.” said Reid.
Muir felt blood running down his face. It came from a gash on his temple about two inches long. He began to feel woozy again. Then several security guards ran into the cell.
“Do you have an infirmary here?” Reid shouted.
One of the guards nodded.
“Get him to it.”
Two of the guards helped Muir out of the cell. It was after this that Reid noticed that the computer was still working. He went over to the panel. The readings on the panel showed the last sensor readings.

The Rise of Supremus - Chapter Two
Corkindale was worried. The sight he had witnessed in Supremus’ cell still disturbed him greatly. Could it be that he was the only one that saw it? Or could this job finally be getting to him? He did not have an answer to either of those questions. But other questions kept presenting themselves. Was all of this technology in this prison starting to break down? Or could Supremus be regaining some of his power after all this time? Corkindale knew that there was only one way he could find out.
It was about fifteen minutes later when Corkindale entered the wing again and walked down the corridor towards Supremus’ cell. All of the lights had been turned off. The only sound that filled the area was a hum which cam from the security systems. Everyone second that noise was broken by the sound of Corkindale’s expensive designer shoes.

The Rise of Supremus - Chapter One
James Watt stood in the nursery at the Anglo-Force mansion, looking over the side of the cot at his young baby son Peter. Watt’s thoughts were on his impending wedding, now only a few weeks away, and on his much his life had changed recently. He then heard footsteps behind him, and behind him stood the second in command of Anglo-Force, Arthur Pendragon, this time minus his sword Excalibur.
“The meeting’s about to start Jim.” he said. “Prime Minister Smith is getting a bit tetchy.”
“I’ll be along in a minute.” said Watt.
Watt leaned over the side of the cot and placed a small kiss on Peter’s forehead.
“Am I doing the right thing?” asked Watt. “I’ve got a young son, and I’ll soon be married. Is this life I now live the right one? Should I be putting my neck on the line every day so I can support my family?”
Pendragon walked over to Watt and placed his hand on his shoulder.
“You shouldn’t be thinking like this.” he said. “It’s probably just nerves. You’ve got a big day coming up.”
Watt turned to face Pendragon.
“You’re probably right. Come on, let’s get this review out of the way.”
“I hope it goes better than the last review meeting.” said Pendragon. “Mind you, we had Chameleon in charge back then!”
