The date for my operation has been confirmed!

Another news update for you. Having had my test results back on Friday, today I had confirmation about my operation.

On Tuesday, February 2nd, I've got my pre-op tests. The operation itself will take place on Wednesday, February 10th, and all being well I should be released the following day.

Health update: I finally got my test results back!

So I finally got my test results back yesterday. The scans showed that I have sustained some damage to the arteries around my heart. They don't know the full extent of the damage yet, which means I'll have to go back into hospital for more tests.

The test itself is a coronary angiogram. (I've included a video below that explains it better than I could.) I don't have a date for it yet because I'm being put on medication that will prepare for the procedure, but at the moment it looks like I'll be going back into hospital around the end of January.

I’ve seen in recent days that my post telling of my trip to the hospital back in September is currently one of the trending topics on my blog. A lot’s gone on since then, so there’s no better time than to give you all an update.

For those who don’t know I was taken into hospital last September suffering from severe chest pains. I underwent the full battery of tests, and while the doctors found no damage to my heart they found some damage to the area around my heart. They also found that I had extremely high blood pressure.

This past Tuesday night I was taken into hospital suffering from severe chest pains. I was put through a whole load of tests, which focused on my heart, they gave me a ton of medication, and kept me in overnight for more tests on Wednesday morning before discharging me around tea time.

The news is that while there’s no damage to the heart itself it looks like there is some damage to the muscles and arteries around the heart. What the damage is I won’t find out until I undergo further tests and scans.
