They are the men who were not only metaphorically larger than life but physically larger than many of their opponents, the big men who became legends in the world of professional wrestling. Now WWE have dipped into their vast video archive to pay tribute to these men, from Gorilla Monsoon and Andre the Giant right up to their modern counterparts Mark Henry and the Big Show, they're all here in the three DVD set True Giants.

He's regarded as one of the best in the world, but he's been missing from our screens because of long-term injury problems. Now he's back, so what better time is there to look at Ring of Honor's tribute to Bryan Danielson: World Champion.

Farewell.....for a couple of weeks anyway! (but not from this blog!)

I wrote the following for the blog I run for the RNLI Henry Blogg Museum here in Cromer, commenting on the end of my CWP placement. But as that blog is only aimed at museum volunteers I thought that, like my piece about my Uncle Ted, it would be a good idea to post it here as well. Enjoy!

As I write this it's Friday afternoon, and I'm sitting in the Education Room, overlooking Cromer Beach and the North Sea. There's a few people milling around down below, but not many because of the cold weather.

Electricians carrying out the building's annual safety checks are coming through the room at various intervals. There's lots of banging and the smell of paint from upstairs as the cafe undergoes a makeover, and behind me, Henry Blogg is lying on a table, with two versions of his dog Monte watching over him.

But my recently have been turning to my impending, albeit temporary departure from the museum, with my CWP work placement coming to an end on Monday, January 19th.

Catch-Up: WWE NXT Takeover R-Evolution

As many of you will know I've been rather busy in the past few months. My work placement at a local museum meant that I couldn't find the time to watch as much wrestling and MMA as I usually did. But as I have the next couple of weeks off I've decided to catch up on a few recent shows.

And what better place is there to start than with something that has impressed the hell out of me in the past and WWE's feeder group, NXT, as we take a look at their most recent offering, Takeover: R-Evolution.

Uncle Ted

I recently posted the following on Blogg's Blog as part of my work for the RNLI Henry Blogg Lifeboat Museum here in Cromer. As that blog is only really intended for the volunteers and staff of the museum I thought it would be a good idea to post it here so my regular readers could see it as well.

When we were putting this blog together one of the first ideas we had was to ask you if you could submit photos for an online gallery designed to coincide with our 1950’s Fashion Exhibition.

So I set about looking through the various photos I had, hoping I could find some shots of my family in the 50’s, and while I found countless old photos of Mum, Dad and various other relatives from around that time I wasn’t sure if they were from the 50’s, and I couldn’t ask the people who would know because they were no longer around.

There was only one photo I was entirely sure about.

Progress Chapter 11: To Fight War, You Must Become War - DVD Review

It's been a while since The Two Sheds Review has been seen online. Other commitments, some welcome, some unwelcome, as well as sheer tiredness have kept me away from watching an industry I've been following for most of my near 43 years on this planet.

But with my schedule about to become a little more settled it's time to jump right back in, and there's no better place to re-start than in the world of Progress, the hottest ticket in Britain at the moment, as we take a look at the DVD release of Chapter Eleven: To Fight War, You Must Become War.

Sorry For The Lack Of Updates.....

A quick note to say sorry for the lack of updates in the past week or so. I've been put on the British government's new Community Work Placement programme. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook you'll know that it's all about, and of all the trouble I've had to put up with. It means that my time is somewhat limited at the moment, and I've been too tired to watch any wrestling or MMA. Hopefully once my work placement is sorted and I won't have to spend nearly three hours a day either travelling or waiting for buses I'll be able to get up and running again.

So all I can say for now is stay tuned!
