He felt a pain in his back as Weequay gave him a jab with his lance, pushing him ever so closer to the edge of the plank. He began to wonder if this was how the pirates of old treated their prisoners back on Earth.
Watt looked over to the sail barge. Jabba had given the signal. This was it. Watt was about to become food for the Sarlacc.
Suddenly, the air around the skiff shimmered, and a Klingon Bird of Prey came into view. Watt couldn't help but smile.
At the same time, a horde of Klingon warriors beamed aboard the sail barge. Caught off guard, the Klingons soon got the upper hand against Jabba's band of cutthroats.
Watt turned around and jumped back onto the skiff, kicking Weequay in the midsection as he did. As soon as he was back on stable ground, Sisko and McQueen beamed aboard, closely followed by Hawkes and West. McQueen soon freed MacCleod, and handed the immortal his sword. Now the Highlander felt at home.
Now fully armed, the away team joined the battle. The cutthroats, now more prepared, were fighting back against the Klingons. They appeared highly trained also.
Watt looked over at the sail barge. The battle on the skiff was going well for his men. He was not needed here. With one well-timed leap, he could join the battle on the barge.
But that all changed as a figure hovered in front of him, and landed just a few feet away from him. Boba Fett had used his rocket pack to propel himself over to the skiff, and now, with his blaster in hand, prepared to deal with Watt.
This did not happen. Suddenly, Fett's rocket pack exploded in a flurry of sparks and smoke, which sent him flying uncontrollably into the sky. Watt looked up to see a smiling MacCleod looking at him.
Moments later, Watt leapt over to the barge. What he found was the seemingly countless Klingon warriors getting the upper hand against the guards and bounty hunters. From his pedestal, he saw Jabba, trying to direct the battle, telling his men what they should do.
The crime lord knew his men were fighting a losing battle. Watt saw the Hutt reach over to a control pad, and then call over to Bib Fortuna.
"Get me out of here! I'm setting the self-destruct!"
Watt lurched forward and grabbed the control panel away from Jabba's slimy grasp. He quickly saw the communication button, and pressed it.
"Watt to Sisko! Jabba's setting the self-destruct! Get us out of here!"
Seconds later Sisko was in contact with Kurn, and seconds after that, the Klingons and Watt's team were back on the Bird of Prey. Moments later the ship cloaked.
Jabba looked out to what was now an empty desert horizon. Once more the man from the other side of the galaxy had defeated him.
"Curse you, Captain Watt! I will have my revenge on you!"
On board the Klingon ship, Kurn sat in his command chair.
"My task here is done, Sisko. I have done as you asked."
"But what about the Rebel Alliance?" asked Watt. "Will you put us in touch with your contacts?"
"If I have any contacts left after today's events!"
Kurn then barked orders at the helmsman, once more in Klingon, telling him to set a course for Mos Eisley, and the Klingon Embassy.
The cloaked Bird of Prey was soon flying over the Klingon Embassy at Mos Eisley. What they saw did not please them. A battle between the Imperial forces and the Klingons left behind was almost ending. The Klingons were defeated. All of them were dead.
Kurn pounded the arm of his chair with his fist.
"I knew this would happen!" he screamed. "Now they will have all of our information!"
"Maybe not," said Sutek. "I may be able to retrieve all of the information you have there, and then plant a virus in the system so they can retrieve nothing."
Kurn stared at the Vulcan for a few moments, and then smiled.
"Do it!"
Sutek walked over to the science station, and soon had a link with the embassy computer established. All the information from the embassy computer was soon in the ship's computer. Moments later, the virus was planted.
"So what do we do now?" asked Kurn. "My forces cannot stay here on Tattooine."
"You could join our small fleet," said MacCleod. "With your contacts here in the Delta Quadrant, you would be of great help to us."
Meanwhile, Watt and Sutek began looking at the information from the embassy's computer, from the link to the Imperial communications network.
"Admiral, I think you should see this," said Watt.
Kurn and MacCleod soon joined them at the science station. MacCleod could not believe what he had seen on the screen.
"It can't be!" he gasped. "Alderaan, destroyed!"
"I've also found some other information, regarding prisoner transfers," said Watt. "It appears that Major Kira, Constable Odo, Sub-Commander Toru, and the Cardassian Garak are now being held on the Death Star."
Upon hearing this, Sisko joined them.
"We've got to get them back!" he said.
"There are just four of them," said Kurn. "Why waste all of this manpower?"
"As far as those four are concerned, I would waste the manpower!" said Sisko. "We must get them out of there!"
"I tend to agree," said Watt. "If we can get Toru back, we may be able to get the Romulans on our side against the Empire! What do you think, Admiral?"
MacCleod began to rub his chin as he went deep into thought.
"It would be risky, I admit, but I think we should do it."
Kurn huffed, then walked back to his command chair.
"If they are so important to you, then I will help you. Contact your fleet, MacCleod! Let them know we are coming!"
