Where's Winter When You Need It?

Okay, let's be completely honest with you all.

Some of you may be enjoying the summer, but I'm not. Having a heart condition and lungs that aren't what they used to be means that the current heatwaves have left me stuggling and feeling absolutely knackered all the time.

Even walking to the local shop and back takes a great deal of effort. If I could order everything I needed online and get it delivered within minutes life would be great. But life isn't like that sadly.

Bring on winter I say. I wouldn't mind getting snowed in for a few days or so.

What If.....Deep Purple Held a 50th Anniversary Concert? Chapter 2: "Rehearsals and Revelations"

The rehearsals for Deep Purple's 50th-anniversary concert began in earnest in July 2018, at a state-of-the-art facility in London. The excitement was palpable as the band members gathered for the first time in years, each with their own unique experiences and perspectives.

The initial rehearsals were a bit rocky, with some members struggling to adjust to each other's playing styles. Ritchie Blackmore, in particular, had some difficulty meshing with Steve Morse.

"Ritchie is a force to be reckoned with," Morse said in an interview. "He's got a very distinct style, and it's taken some time to get used to. But we've worked out our differences, and it's been a real learning experience for all of us."

What If.....Deep Purple Held a 50th Anniversary Concert? Chapter One: "The Unlikely Dream"

Back in 2018 I posted on social media that it would be great if Deep Purple, my all-time favourite band, got together with their former members and put together a concert to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Sadly no such event happened.

But as I’ve been playing around with various online AI programs over the past few weeks the idea popped into my head again. Having already written an AI-assisted piece about Hulk Hogan joining Metallica, I began to think about this idea again. I got together with my AI assistant, tossed around a few plot ideas, and came up with this second What If story.

So now I present to you the first chapter of my second What If story: What If…..Deep Purple Held a 50th Anniversary Concert?

The Frustrations of Going Live on TikTok

I've got over 3,500 followers on TikTok. It would be great if some of them could help me out and push my lives a bit more.

Or maybe people could stay around more than a few seconds and watch more of my shows.

The Thursday Rock Show: 20 Rock Legends

The Thursday Rock Show is back, and this week we're taking a look at another compilation album that I owned back in the day, originally released by Ronco Records in 1979 and purchased from a second-hand establishment in the early 1990's, this is "20 Rock Legends".

We've reached episode 12 of Julian's Social Media Discoveries show. Doesn't seem like I've been doing this for three months! I thought I'd lose interest to be honest.

Anyway, if you missed this live on TikTok then you can catch-up now with this mixture of blue grass covers, cello duets, metalcore, punk and a bit of rock 'n' soul.

Oh, and one of these songs contains naughty words, so you should probably put granny to bed before you start watching.

What If.....Hulk Hogan Joined Metallica?

I’ve been having a play-around with Meta’s AI system. It’s been fun making pictures and wot not, coming up with unique images, but after a while I decided to try my hand at storytelling, suggesting a few scenarios that probably won’t see the light of day on this blog.

Then I began to think of a way to test the system as it were, by using the stories of that great spinner of tales, former WWE and WCW World Champion Hulk Hogan. He’s certainly told a few tales about his life and career over the past few years, so I decided to use my new AI to create this tale from an alternate universe. I’ll borrow a title from Marvel Comics as I present to you: What if…..Hulk Hogan joined Metallica?

It Was Twenty-Five Years Ago This Month.....

So.....

Twenty-five years ago this month (sometime in June 2000, I can't remember exactly when), the first ever Two Sheds Review wrestling column was published in an e-mail newsletter called The Wrasslin' Analysis. The last wrestling-related piece was posted in January 1st, 2017. Various things led to the end of the articles, mainly a general loss of interest in the wrestling world.

There were various reasons why I stopped writing about wrestling, including a loss of interest, finding other forms of entertainment, and work commitments among them. Not even the Covid lockdown and a huge amount of time on my hands could tempt me back.
