Wouldn't You Rather Wait For Good Service?

Having just come from the pharmarcy at the surgery, where everyone who joined the que behind me moaned about not being served quickly, I now have the urge to ask this kind of question again.

Would you rather wait to be served properly be a medical professional, or would you prefer to be rushed through the system in the way some supermarkets rush through their customers?

It is really starting to annoy me when I hear people moaning about how doctors, nurses and pharmacists are working too slowly and how they should work faster. It's like they expect to be waited on hand and foot as soon as they walk through those automatic doors.

The thing that really amuses me though is that as soon as they get to the counter they're all nice and polite, and they soon forget that they were complaining about the people in front of them just a few seconds before.

So the next time you go to your doctor, your hospital, or your pharmacy, try and remember all of those stories we heard during the recent election campaign about how over-stretched our National Health Serivce is.

And if you're still not satisfied with the service you're getting, why not go private?
