Dear Deep Purple.....

Dear Deep Purple,

2013 marks the 45th anniversary of your inception, so why not give Purple fans all around the world something worth celebrating?

Why not put on a 45th anniversary concert, possibly in the Albert Hall? You could get every surviving former and current member together under the same roof.

Have Rod Evans and Nick Simper kick off the show with Hush and Kentucky Woman. Follow it up with a brief set from the Mark II lineup, perhaps Black Night, Strange Kind of Woman and Child in Time.

Then Glenn Hughes and David Coverdale could make an appearance for Burn and Stormbringer, and perhaps something from Come Taste the Band. Follow it up with Joe Lynn Turner singing King of Dreams, and finish off with a few songs from the Airey/Morse era.

As for the encore, it's pretty obvious. Get everyone on stage for Smoke on the Water.

So come on Purple. Get around and table and put your personal differences aside (I'm looking at you Ian Gillan and Ritchie Blackmore). Don't argue over money or about who should do what.

Besides, wouldn't this be the perfect tribute for Tommy Bolin and Jon Lord?
