YouShoot With Jim Cornette The Lost Questions - DVD Review

When Kayfabe Commentaries released their two disc YouShoot with Jim Cornette a while ago one thing really surprised me. Having seen numerous interview with the man in the past, I was surprised that the interview only lasted four hours!

So, with many of the previous questions having gone unanswered, Sean Oliver dragged Cornette back in front of the cameras again for The Lost Questions. And you’ll be surprised to know that this one lasts only two and a half hours!

But seriously though, you’re probably asking how this compares to the first release? Pretty damn well is the answer. As always James E. doesn’t hold anything back, and it’s a joy to see him in this manner again. At a time when I really needed cheering up I found myself smiling for the entire length of this interview.

The topics are many and varied this time. As well as the myriad of questions about the wrestling business, Cornette sounds off about a number of things including the 9/11 events, various fast food outlets he’s frequented over the years including the Heart Attack Grill in Phoenix, a restaurant that sounds as if it would make any Scottish fast food places look like health bars.

There is, of course, the usual verbal tirade against his best buddy Vince Russo as he discusses the events that led to him getting a letter from TNA’s lawyers about his “terroristic threats”.

The best thing on this though actually doesn’t involve Cornette talking. That honour goes to the video of the WrestleRock Rumble. I never in my wildest dreams thought that I’d ever seen Verne Gagne rapping.

In conclusion - you have to get this DVD. It’s the perfect compliment to Jim Cornette’s first YouShoot set. It could possibly be the best non-event DVD I’ve seen this year.

With thanks to the powers that be for supplying a copy of this release. YouShoot with Jim Cornette The Lost Questions can be purchased online at www.kayfabecommentaries.com.
