ROH Stylin' and Profilin' - CPC Movies DVD Review

There seems to be a trend in the professional wrestling business. Whenever a legend retires, they do the rounds, making in-ring appearances, briefly talking about their careers before interacting with the lead heel of the promotion.

This is the case with Ring of Honor’s Stylin’ & Profilin’, which saw “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair making his first appearance for the company, talking about his wrestling career, before getting into a heated confrontation with resident World Champion Nigel McGuinness.

But there’s a lot more to this release than a battle of wits between wrestling generations. There’s some pretty good matches on here as well. Beginning with the opener pitting Jay Briscoe against Roderick strong, right through to the main event, with McGuinness defending his title against Brent Albright, with Flair sitting at ringside. There’s also an entertaining battle between Bryan Danielson and Bison Smith, as well as a match from ROH’s sister promotion Shimmer, with MsChief defending her title against Daizee Haze.

Thankfully, Necro Butcher is nowhere to be seen, which means that all of the matches here are top draw, and another example of how great ROH are at the moment, which means that, as always, this release comes highly recommended.
