It's Episode 27 of the Social Media Discoveries series, and for those of you who may have missed yet, yes, there is some heavy metal screaming guys on this week's episode. There's also a couple of those musical collectives that don't have any bios, as well as one of my favourite releases of the year. Which one is it? You'll have to listen and find out.

The Forties Weekender: Banned by the BBC
It's the second of our shows to commemorate the 1940's weekend in Sheringham, and this time around we're looking back at some of the songs that the B.B.C., the moral guardian of the nation, banned. Some where banned because of their supposed explicit content, some on religious grounds, and some because they just didn't seem to like them, reasons which would seem quite tame by today's standards.

(Not Quite) The Thursday Rock Show: 1940's Roots of Rock
It's time for The Thursday Rock Show, or perhaps this week it should be (Not Quite) The Thursday Rock Show, because to coincide with Sheringham's annual 1940's weekend we're going to take a look at some of the songs from that decade that strongly influenced the birth of rock 'n' roll music in the 1950's. So put your blackout curtains up and get your ration books ready to listen to some of the most influential artists of the 1940's.

Rescue: Civil War II Chapter Seventeen
The
police transport was now out of the Earth's atmosphere, and Brogan and Castle
finally got something in some ways they wanted: resistance.
Rescue: Civil War II Chapter Sixteen
They
had made it to the other side of the compound, and the spaceport, with only one
interruption, and Sutek had taken care of him with a Vulcan neck-pinch. But
still, Brogan had that nagging feeling at the back of his mind. Something was
not quite right. Everything had been too easy.
Rescue: Civil War II Chapter Fifteen
It
was a cold night for Pendragon and his team as they moved towards Vargas'
citadel. Even though they each wore several layers of clothing, the wind was
still getting through to their skins. Her teeth almost chattering, Maris found
it almost impossible to hold her tri-corder while trying to find the crew of
the Valkyrie. Greenleaf soon stood beside her and held her hand steady as he
studied the tri-corder readings. It appeared that elves were not as affected by
the cold as humans.

Nothing, except play you some more tracks from artists I've discovered on various social media platforms over the years, and this week we're proving it's not all doom and gloom metal and hard rock.

Rescue: Civil War II Chapter Fourteen
The
New Zealand Space Port used to be a hive of activity. At all hours of the day
and night, shuttle crafts and runabouts would be flying in and out, taking in
prisoners and supplies for the nearby penal colony. But since the
"defeat" of the United Federation of Planets, all of this had
stopped. A few troop carriers had brought in several Imperial prisoners, but
nothing more. It seemed that everything had ground to a halt.
