ROH Insanity Unleashed - CPC Movies DVD Review

The day after Ric Flair made his debut, the Ring of Honor crew moved their travelling carnival to Indianapolis for Insanity Unleashed.

It was another strong show, beginning with the usual quick opener, this time pitting "Spider" Nate Webb against Flash Flanagan. The mid-card is great. Bison Smith continued his tour of destruction, taking out Silas Young, as well as targeting Bryan Danielson again. Tag team champions Kevin Steen and El Generico faced the challenge of Kenny King and Rhett Titus, while my favourite current team, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards, aka The American Wolves, went up against Roderick Strong and Brent Albright. Tag team action also took up the main event slot, with ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness teaming up with former champion Austin Aries against Tyler Black and the always dependable Jerry Lynn.

However, I do have one major criticism about this DVD, and that's the grudge match between Jimmy Jacobs and Delirious. These two had a violent parting of the ways the previous day, but instead of building up the rivalry a little more, the creatives put them straight into a no DQ match. Said match was good, and the ending was highly inventive, but still, they could have drawn it out a little more.

That being said, it's still a good DVD, and worth adding to your collection. And, thankfully, Necro Butcher is nowhere to be seen!
