If You Want to Comment You'll Need to Register!

Sadly, due to unknown people (although I actually know exactly who they are) I've had to change some of the settings for the comments section of this blog. This is because these people (I know who they are) have left some rather unsavoury comments.

So from now if you want to comment on this blog you'll have to have a Google account, or you'll have to register for one. This means that you will no longer be able to post as "unknown". All comments will continue to be moderated before they are posted.

The daft thing is I wouldn't mind it so much if they used proper spelling and grammar!

What If.....Deep Purple Held a 50th Anniversary Concert? Chapter 6: "Deep Purple Takes The Stage"

The lights went down at Wembley Stadium, and the crowd erupted into cheers and applause as Deep Purple took the stage. The lineup for the first set was Ian Paice on drums, Don Airey on keyboards, Ritchie Blackmore on guitar, Rod Evans on vocals, and Nick Simper on bass.

The band launched into their first song, "Hush", a classic from the 1960s that got the crowd moving. Evans' vocals were spot on, and Blackmore's guitar work was sublime. Simper's bass lines provided a solid foundation, and Paice's drumming was tight and precise. Airey's keyboards added a rich texture to the sound, and the crowd was entranced.

Next up was "Kentucky Woman", another classic from the 1960s. The band played it with precision and power, the riffs and solos trading off in a thrilling display of musicianship. Evans' vocals were haunting, and the crowd sang along to every word.

The lights went down at Wembley Stadium, and the crowd erupted into cheers and applause. The support act, The Purple Project, took the stage, ready to kick off the celebration of Deep Purple's 50th anniversary.

Bruce Dickinson, the iconic vocalist of Iron Maiden, stepped up to the microphone and greeted the crowd. "Ladies and gentlemen, it's an honor to be here tonight to support one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Let's get this party started!"

The band launched into their first song, "Highway Star", a Deep Purple classic that got the crowd moving. Dickinson's powerful vocals soared through the stadium, and the guitar work of Joe Bonamassa and Billy Gibbons was incendiary.

What If.....Deep Purple Held a 50th Anniversary Concert? Chapter 4: "The Day Before The Show"

The day before the concert, the remaining band members of Deep Purple were busy making their final preparations. Despite the excitement and anticipation, tensions were running high within the band.

Ritchie Blackmore was in a particularly introspective mood, pacing backstage and muttering to himself about the setlist. "I don't know if I'm happy with the order of the songs," he said to Steve Morse. "I think we should be starting with 'Burn' instead of 'Highway Star'."

Morse tried to calm him down, explaining that the setlist had been carefully crafted to showcase the band's diverse range of songs. "Ritchie, we've talked about this. We've got a great setlist, and I think it flows really well. Let's just focus on the show and make it happen."

Get Well Soon Teddy

One of my favourite content creators has been poorly, and is now recovering from major surgery.

With over three million followers on social media, I think it's safe to say that Teddy means a lot to a lot of people. So if you could do one thing nice then please head over to his page and send him good wishes. I'm sure that his dad and his brother Archie and sister Roo will appreciate it, and hopefully it won't be long before Teddy's back pranking his dad and getting into all sorts of trouble with his siblings.

Go and visit Teddy's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Aguyandagolden

What If.....Deep Purple Held a 50th Anniversary Concert? Chapter 3: "The Purple Project"

The idea for a support act for Deep Purple's 50th-anniversary concert had been floating around for months. Bruce Dickinson, the iconic vocalist of Iron Maiden, had been approached by Bruce Payne, Deep Purple's manager, with a proposal to put together a supergroup of musicians to open for the band.

"I was thrilled when Bruce approached me with the idea," Dickinson said in an interview. "I've always been a huge fan of Deep Purple, and I thought it would be an amazing opportunity to pay tribute to their music and celebrate their legacy."
